The New Tradition
Huntsville Golf Club is committed to the time-honored traditions of the great game of golf. This club offers both challenge and reward, to players of all skill levels, and is dedicated to the values that have kept this sport alive and thriving for generations. With a superbly crafted course maintained to championship standards, a traditional caddy program, and uncrowded conditions which require no tee times, the Club is a true celebration of our appreciation and respect for the game we enjoy so well.
The Critic's Choice
The course at Huntsville has been highly ranked by many leading golf authorities in areas of playability, design and aesthetics. Some awards include: #2 Best New Private Golf Course in America in 1995, Golf Digest, Dec. 1995 issue: #6 in the USA in the category of "Design Variety" in 1997, Golf Digest, May 1997 issue: #6 Best Course in Pennsylvania in 1997, Golf Digest, May 1997 issue: #23 in America's Top 100 Best Modern Courses/1997, Golfweek. Environmentally focused, Huntsville has also earned certification as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and the 1997 Mid-Atlantic Regional Environmental Steward Award given by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
A prime example of Rees Jones at his very best, rolling terrain and scenic landscapes comprise the 473-acre site. Multiple tee positions and generous driving and landing areas reveal that Huntsville is a course ideally suited for all those who love the game. "What golfers will enjoy at Huntsville is the beauty of the site and the way that the holes fit the land so perfectly," says Rees Jones. "This course will reward excellent shot making, yet it will not overly penalize a poorly played shot."
A Total Family Experience
The Clubhouse is where members and their families enjoy meeting and dining. "Our range of dining follows our Club members' interests-from the more casual Grill Room to fine evening dining," says Scott Schukraft, the Club's General Manager. "We're focused on a total family experience." Special events are featured on Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, and all major holidays.
A Window to the Course
Huntsville's award-winning Clubhouse, with its contemporary flavor, was designed by noted architect Peter Bohlin. Rough-hewn Pacific cedar contrasts with white stonework and rich green decor to provide a warm and welcoming setting. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls create a bright and airy atmosphere while offering expansive views of the eighteenth fairway and the practice fields.
For All Seasons
The Clubhouse offers informal ALA Carte dining in the Grill Area and formal dining in the main dining room. Choose our private dining room for parties or small business meetings or, if the mood should strike you, visit our exquisite patio which can seat up to 40 people.
