One of the joys of playing at Huntsville is the ability to walk. After 4:00 P.M. each day, golfers may carry their own clubs, and most times there are caddies on hand. Recruiting and training of these youngsters takes place each Spring, with the area schools providing a ready supply of eager young people. Although Huntsville is a long and challenging test, walking this golf course is becoming more and more popular.

Huntsville Golf Club is very proud of its modern golf shop featuring many of the latest fashion lines in a tastefully designed layout. Whether looking for a special birthday gift item or just in the mood to browse, the Golf Professionals and staff are always very pleased to assist. Their most important asset is they care how you enjoy your time at the Club and as the focal point of golf at Huntsville, they welcome the opportunity to see that your time at the Club is very pleasant. Finding a game and a match is very common and because the Club has no starting times ever, both the front and back nines are utilized to provide an easy flow from start to finish. Members are asked to call in advance if they have any special requests.

The practice fields at Huntsville Golf Club are spectacular in look and feel and are very busy throughout the season. An expansive putting and pitching green to the side of the driving areas and another green close to the Clubhouse give every golfer an opportunity to improve his touch and finesse shots. It is common to see group instruction in progress, as well as individual lessons taking place. The use of video to assist players in learning about their swings has become very popular.
